MDHA Homeless Response System Community Dashboard – Simplified

A new quarterly report on the effectiveness of the system of care for the homeless

In February 2017, the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance (MDHA) began publishing quarterly reports tracking our community’s progress in making homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring in Dallas and Collin Counties. This Homeless Response System Community Dashboard was designed to provide a snapshot of the core system metrics that inform us on achievements in moving individuals to permanent housing, as housing is the primary solution to homelessness.Through the beginning of 2018, MDHA published four quarterly dashboards, along with two race addendums, all of which may be accessed on the Community Dashboard page on the MDHA website. During the first few months of 2018, MDHA staff began to feel that while the Dashboard did provide a data rich snapshot, it needed to be simplified. Therefore, MDHA staff resolved to reformat the Dashboard. To allow for apples to apples comparisons, not only did MDHA staff, led by Dr. Lester Collins, Jr., Continuum of Care Performance Analyst, reformat the Dashboard moving forward; it redid previous Dashboards.

As in the past, along with the most recent Dashboard (2018 Q2), MDHA has provided an updated Housing Priority List (HPL) Tracker. This edition of the Tracker includes a new updated description of what the Tracker does. Today, August 1, 2018, MDHA is proud to present these new Dashboards to the community. They are posted on the Community Dashboard page on the MDHA website, and linked to below. MDHA staff welcome the community’s feedback and input on these important data rich documents. Contact info for staff may be found on the Staff page on the MDHA website.
